Frequently Asked Questions
Medication Review Services
What is an RMMR and how do I book one?
A Residential Medication Management Review (RMMR) is a collaborative review conducted by an accredited pharmacist in partnership with a GP for a resident in aged care. We coordinate the process end-to-end, including consent, paperwork, and liaison with the facility and family. You can [Book a Review] directly through our site.
Can I refer a patient for a Home Medicines Review (HMR)?
Yes, if you’re a GP with an eligible patient living in the community, you can refer them for an HMR. We’ll handle the follow-up, arrange a pharmacist visit, and provide a full clinical report to support your prescribing decisions.
Who can request a QUM program?
Facility managers, DONs, or head nurses can request a Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) program. We’ll tailor the audits, training, and reports to your site’s needs.
How long does an ACOP placement last?
ACOP (Aged Care On-site Pharmacist) placements are designed to be long-term and continuous. However, we offer trial placements, short-term coverage, or custom durations to suit your operational needs.
Training & Education
What training topics do you cover?
We offer sessions on psychotropics, restraint use, AMS, deprescribing, medication incidents, risk reduction, and more, tailored for facility staff and prescribers.
Do you offer webinars or only in-person sessions?
We deliver training in-person, via Zoom, or recorded for on-demand access. You can request custom webinars or join an upcoming public session.
Can prescribers request training?
Yes, we provide education on clinical review frameworks (e.g. HMR/RMMR), deprescribing strategies, and risk management.
Is your training CPD-accredited?
Our training is designed to support clinical governance and quality standards. While not formally CPD-accredited, many sessions are suitable for self-logged CPD hours.
Do you charge for training sessions?
Costs vary depending on delivery mode and group size. Some sessions are offered free as part of QUM or ACOP programs. We’re happy to discuss options that suit your budget.
